VIS GROUP AND THE KALININGRAD REGION SIGN A BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION CONCESSION AGREEMENT

On the second day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement was signed on the construction of a bridge across the Kaliningrad Bay. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Igor Snegurov on behalf of VIS Group, and Governor Anton Alikhanov on behalf of the Kaliningrad Region.

A private concession initiative on the investment project’s implementation was submitted to the Government of the Kaliningrad Region on behalf of the Tenth Concession Company (member of VIS Group). This large-scale project is of strategic importance for the region, and there have been previous attempts to implement it. However, it has become possible solely due to the support of the private investor.

The new bridge will connect the Kosmodemyansky and Shosseiny villages. The total span of the road infrastructure, including the bridge over the Pregolya River, approaches, overpasses and junctions will approximate 8 kilometers. The high-speed four-lane road will be part of the ring route in the Primorsk recreational zone.

VIS GROUP AND GAZPROMBANK SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO FINANCE THE KHABAROVSK BYPASS CONCESSION PROJECT

Today, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a credit agreement was signed between Gazprombank and OOO Regional Concession Company (a member of VIS Group) as part of the Khabarovsk Bypass highway project. The document was signed by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank Alexey Belous and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIS Group Igor Snegurov.

In accordance with the signed loan agreement, Gazprombank is slated to open a line of credit for the Regional Concession Company with a limit of 7.5 billion rubles. The funds obtained will cover the project’s capital costs.

The Khabarovsk Bypass highway is the largest transportation project in the Russian Far East, implemented on the public-private partnership principles.

VIS GROUP AND THE CHINESE CSCEC CORPORATION AGREE TO ESTABLISH A CONSORTIUM

The pertinent agreement was signed today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIS Group Igor Snegurov and Vice President of China Construction First Group Corporation LLC (part of China State Construction Engineering Corp, CSCEC) Wei Yang. The main area of the two companies’ cooperation will be transport infrastructure projects within Russia.

China Civil Engineering Corporation (China State Construction Engineering Corp, CSCEC) is the largest company in the PRC that specializes in the construction of railways and high-speed roads, airports, bridges, tunnels and skyscrapers.

VIS GROUP AND THE REPUBLIC OF BASHKORTOSTAN INTEND TO COOPERATE IN THE PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP SPHERE

An investment agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and VIS Group at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg was signed by Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Tazhitdinov and member of the Board of Directors of VIS Group Sergey Romashov.

The main declared objective of the parties’ collaboration is to assist in solving problems of attracting investments into the republic’s economy, developing and effectively implementing investment projects in the republic.

The parties agreed to hold joint events in the near future in order to establish information exchange and operational work in specific business spheres. Among them is the establishment of transport, industrial and social infrastructure facilities.

CURRENT AND FUTURE INVESTMENT PROJECTS OF THE VIS GROUP ARE DISCUSSED AT THE FORUM

In the framework of VIS Group’s SPIEF-2019 business program, the head of the holding Igor Snegurov met with the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov. VIS Group is the largest concessionaire in the Siberian region that implements key infrastructure projects.

Sergey Romashov, a member of the Board of Directors of VIS Group, met with the Vice-Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Vasily Shvets. Regional leadership is interested in the experience that VIS Group has in the implementation of projects related to solid municipal waste management and the creation of large infrastructure facilities.

A meeting was held with Diana Alba, Vice President of the French public utility company Suez. Over the past few years, VIS Group has acquired significant competences in the field of MSW management and plans to attract the most advanced waste sorting and recycling technologies to the Russian market.

VIS GROUP REPRESENTATIVES SPOKE AT THE SESSIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM

The “Space Economy: Potential of State and Business Interaction” session was held on June 7 at the SPIEF with participation from Igor Snegurov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIS Group. The event was organized by the Roscosmos State Corporation and dedicated to the development of private astronautics and related industries in Russia. The session’s speakers were Dmitry Rogozin, CEO of Roscosmos State Corporation, Andrei Dubovskov, President of AFK Sistema, Zhijiang Wu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China Space Foundation, Alexey Belyakov, Vice President of the Skolkovo Foundation, representatives of European companies.

The discussion participants assessed the introduction of new business models in the space industry and market and economic transformations that allow to build efficient interaction between the state and business community. The moderator asked Igor Snegurov to comment on the opportunities for the development of public-private partnership in the high-tech space industry, noting that today the holding possesses the best PPP practices in Russia.

The head of the VIS Group confirmed the interest of the business community in working in the space sphere and suggested using the potential of the private sector to accomplish the tasks that the industry is facing today. “Global experience demonstrates that the PPP mechanism has already positively established itself in the space sphere. Today the volume of the global market, according to some estimates, exceeds $350 billion, of which only 25% belongs to the public sector. We at VIS Group see tangible opportunities for the implementation of projects in this industry and are ready to consider them together with Roskosmos,” said Igor Snegurov.
